What it's about. . .

My father was a fighter pilot and instructor in the U.S. Air Force. This blog is a "draft", if you will, of a tribute to him, and those like him. It is a history of my life, and the effects his lessons and examples had upon the shaping of it. As my recollections tend to follow no chronological order at times, a small bit of history is required so that any readers will be able to know at what time in my life the related stories occurred:

I was born in 1954 at Tyndall Air Force Base (Panama City, Florida).
We were stationed at Misawa AFB in Japan, Cannon AFB (Clovis, NM), Dad got out of the Air Force, we moved to Evergreen,CO, where he was recalled to active duty, then MacDill AFB (Tampa, FL), Davis-Monthan AFB (Tucson, AZ),Dad went to Southeast Asia while we were in Tucson. He returned, and then a few years later went to VietNam. The family moved to Missouri while he served in VN. He returned, and we went to Eglin AFB (Fort Walton Beach, FL). My parents divorced in 1971. He went on to the Air War College, and served in the Pentagon until his retirement from the military at the end of 1973.

That should be enough to figure out when things happened. More to come, stay tuned. And, if you have comments and/or corrections, please contribute.
